About Us

The Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival is the state's oldest chartered harvest festival and was named 2011 Festival of the Year. Please join us for our 79th annual festival to be held August 28-September 1, 2014, in picturesque downtown Morgan City, Louisiana.

Deep in the heart of Cajun Country, every Labor Day Weekend, tens of thousands of people celebrate the festival that honors those who have worked tirelessly through rain and shine ... and sometimes even hurricanes, to provide the area's economic lifeblood for over half a century.
